Wings over Wave Hill

Wave Hill hosts a day full of amazing bird encounters! In May, migratory and resident raptors and songbirds animate the gardens and the skies above Wave Hill, and naturalists and expert birders are on hand to reveal and explain their activities. Wave Hill's popular annual falconry demonstration returns, and there’s fun for all ages with hands-on activities, walks, talks, and a bird-themed Family Art Project.

Grab some twigs and branches and help build a life-sized nest 10am – 4pm
Meet the Raptors
$20 adults; $12 children 6-17; $4 children ages 2-7; children under 2 free; including admission to the grounds.
See live raptors from around the world and hear about the adaptations that make them so amazing. Brian and Teddy Bradley introduce some of their favorite feathered friends in this presentation designed specifically for families with younger children.

Falconry Presentation: Skyhunters in Flight
$20 adults; $12 children 6-17; $4 children ages 2-7; children under 2 free; including admission to the grounds.
Master falconer Brian Bradley and his beautiful and beloved raptors perform a live bird presentation! Watch trained birds of prey sharpen their hunting skills during an exciting outdoor flight demonstration. Hear about the ancient sport of falconry and see live raptors from around the world.
Space is limited. Ages seven and older welcome with an adult. Families with younger children are invited to register for the “Meet the Raptors!” program at 1pm.
All audience members require a ticket.
Rain location: Armor Hall in Wave Hill House.

Owl Pellet Dissection
Drop in for an exploratory workshop with naturalist Gabriel Willow and discover the origins of the owl’s diet. Ages eight and older welcome with an adult. Free with admission; as supplies last.
