Virtual Storytelling at Wren's Nest
- see all dates
Weekly storytelling is a tradition at Atlanta's Wren's Nest. While the museum is temporarily closed, the tradition has moved online, with weekly storytelling live on Facebook.
On Saturdays at 1pm Eastern (12pm Central, 10am Pacific), The Wren's Nest live streams a new story from a professional storyteller on its Facebook page. During these performances, viewers are welcome to comment, react, and ask questions!
After the live stream, the recording of the performance is available on the website as well as on the YouTube Channel.
About Wren's Nest:
The Wren's Nest is the historic home of Joel Chandler Harris, who compiled and published the Brer Rabbit tales. The Brer Rabbit stories that made Joel Chandler Harris a famous author in his time are part of a long tradition of oral folklore, particularly in African American and Native American cultures. The museum is dedicated to promoting and preserving the art of storytelling in all its forms. Virtual Storytelling features both Brer Rabbit and non-Brer Rabbit stories.
