Sharks are invading Long Island's Whaling Museum for a full week. Excavate a shark tooth fossil, learn a frenzy of facts, and more via Zoom.

Uncover the history of sharks, from the Paleozoic to the present, while exploring the museum’s collection of shark biofacts (including a megalodon tooth!)

Delve into a shark’s diet. Learn how humans can make sustainable seafood choices to help protect the health of our oceans and whip up a batch of yummy fish tacos!

Discover what makes sharks such excellent predators and create a ferocious paper plate shark jaw of your own using materials at home.

Super Shark Saturday!
Travel to the frigid arctic and way down deep into the midnight zone to learn about some of the world’s most unusual and extreme sharks. Create an Ocean-Zone in a bottle craft using materials found at home. LOCALS: Pick Up a Craft Bag ($5) - Pick up a pre-made kit with materials for a shark fin hat any time 12-4pm Tues-Sun.

Shark Tooth Excavation!
Discover what it takes to be a shark scientist as you roll up your sleeves and excavate a real shark tooth fossil! Turn your fossil tooth into a special necklace using materials provided by the museum. LOCALS: Pick Up a Craft Bag ($5)- Pick up a pre-made kit with materials for your shark tooth excavation and necklace. Pick up 12-4pm Tues-Sun.
