Rob Sanders presents Stonewall: A Building. An Uprising. A Revolution. at Greenlight Bookstores
Greenlight Bookstore's Lefferts Garden location and its original Fort Greene location both hold regular and very special Satuday storytimes for kids, with books read by their authors. Sometimes there's music, too!
11:30 AM Fort Greene
1:30 PM at the Prospect Lefferts Gardens location at 632 Flatbush Avenue
Award-winning author Rob Sanders (author of Pride: The Story of Harvey Milk and the Rainbow Flag) commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising and pays tribute to those who took a stand for their civil rights with his new picture book. Movingly narrated by the Stonewall Inn itself, and featuring stirring and dynamic illustrations by Jamey Christoph, Stonewall tells the story of the events of June 1969 and the West Village building that became the first national monument to the LGBTQ+ community’s fight for civil rights. Rob presents his book with an interactive story time at Greenlight.
