Miller Theater Pop-Up Concert: Yarn/Wire
These free and fun Pop-Up Concerts provide the perfect opportunity to get up close and personal with today’s most exciting new music. Sit onstage during these hour-long weeknight concerts, and mingle with the musicians and fellow concertgoers after the show.
Yarn/Wire, the Queens-based quartet of two pianists and two percussionists, is admired for their energy, precision, and “mesmerizing” performances. They return to the Miller stage to perform holiday favorites with a twist, including a musical preview of Carnival of the Animals.
PROGRAM
Camille Saint-Saëns - Selections from The Carnival of the Animals (1886)
Pyotr Il’yich Tchaikovsky - Selections from The Nutcracker (1892)
George Crumb - A Little Suite for Christmas, AD 1979 (1980)
Onstage seating is first-come, first-served.
Concert starts at 6pm; doors open at 5:30pm.
