Powells Books hosts a weekly kids' storytime with authors appearing on-camera to share their new work. 

September 12: Keely Parrack
In the new picture book, Morning, Sunshine! kids can discover new facts about familiar creatures as they go about their morning activities.

September 19: The Tiny Chef and Fwens: 
The Tiny Chef, a small herbivore with an enormous heart, goes on a quest to find his missing recipe book in The Tiny Chef and da Mishing Weshipee Blook.

September 26: Ryan T. Higgins
The author reads from his new picture book, We Will Rock Our Classmates. Penelope is a T. rex, who likes to rock out on guitar! With the school talent show coming up, Penelope can't wait to perform for her classmates. But sharing who you are can be show-stoppingly scary, especially when it's not what people expect.

October 3: Ben Hatke
Author and illustrator Ben Hatke shares his new picture book, Julia’s House Moves On. Julia's house is restless. Julia and her family of lost creatures are ready to move on. But where will they go?

October 10: Jory John & Liz Climo
The author and illustrator read from their new picture book, First Day Critter Jitters. It’s almost the first day of school, and the animals are nervous.  When they all arrive at their classroom, though, they’re in for a surprise: Somebody else is nervous too. It’s their teacher, the armadillo!
