Shailee Basnet is one of the few women to climb Mt. Everest. She shares her daring story in this free virtual chat.
Shailee Basnet, scaled Mt Everest in 2008. She then led the‘Seven Summits Women Team’ which became the world’s first female group to scale the highest peak in each continent. With her team, she is now leading a program to help train young female survivors of trafficking become trekking guides. Following the 2015 earthquake the team is also working towards rebuilding schools in remote Nepal.
Shailee discusses what it's like to climb for 65 days to the top of Mount Everest and see the stars from there.
