Celebrate Edgar Allan Poe's birthday with dance and readings of his work at Poe Park.

Noon to 12:30pm - Edgar, Annabel Lee, and the Tell-Tale Heart
Dance duet set to Joan Baez' musical rendition of Annabel Lee, by E.A.Poe; choreographed by Philip Scharper. Dancers: Elisa Toro Franky, Philip Scharper, and student dancers, followed by a 5-minute Q&A A dramatic reading by Philip Scharper of E.A. Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart.

1pm to 3:30pm - Actor Elizabeth Shepherd
Readings from Poe's works will be given by distinguished actor, Elizabeth Shepherd. Elizabeth starred in the movie, The Tomb of Ligeia, with Vincent Price.
