The brainchild of a local mom, area families are encouraged to add colorful pumpkins to their windows for area kids to see. On Halloween, costumed or not, hit the streets to hunt for pumpkins. The Pumpkin Hunt website allows you to add your creation to a community map and plan a route.

Parents can set a target number of pumpkins to find, but you can also add fun challenges like seeking pumpkins of different colors or types. Plan as much or as little as you like, and be sure to reward your pumpkin spotters with treats when you're done!
