Family Day: The Art of Animation
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences hosts a family-friendly virtual workshop with some of animation's top animators and collaborators. Participants learn about some of the many styles of animation as well as the art of storyboarding, how to make a flip-book, creating characters, music, production design, voice acting, and more.
The event is hosted by Jorge Gutierrez (The Book of Life) and Brooke Keesling (Head of Animation Talent Development for Bento Box Entertainment and Student Academy Award Winner).
With Special Appearances by Animators and Collaborators: Pierre Coffin (Despicable Me), Kendal Cronkhite-Shaindlin (Trolls), Pete Docter (Inside Out), Michael Giacchino (Up), Miguel Jiron (Spider-Ham: Caught in a Ham), Hyun-min Lee (Frozen II), Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and Priscilla Wong (Trolls)
