Edinburgh International Book Festival Online
- see all dates
The 2020 Edinburgh Book Festival is presented online, with over 100 events for adults, families, and children. The program offers both live and pre-recorded conversations featuring leading writers, poets, and participants from around the world.
Among participating authors in the children's program are Julia Donaldson (The Gruffalo), Eoin Colfer (Artemis Fowl) and Cressida Cowell (How to Train Your Dragon).
Events are free to view, and available through the Book Festival’s own website.
Through the magic of technology, the event crosses continents and time zones to beam events from more than 30 countries straight into viewers' homes. What’s more, guests can chat with fellow Festival goers via digital chatrooms and take part in Q&A sessions. Select events give guests a chance to meet the author and get books signed.
Note: events are listed in British Standard Time, which is 5 hours ahead of Eastern, 6 hours ahead of Central and 8 hours ahead of Pacific.
