It's that time of year! Dust off your hot glue guns and sewing skills - OSH's Halloween Costume Contest and mini-parade gets Halloween off to an early start. Halloween crafts and costume contest are held in the J.J. Byrne Playground. After the contest, all participants parade around Washington Park.
Awards are given in the categories of:
- Best use of Stroller/Wagon
- Scariest Best Group/Family/Ensemble
- Best Infant
- Best Pop Culture
- Best Classic Halloween
- Most Creative
- Best use of Recycled/Green Materials
Thrifty, DIY, and recycled-materials costumes have an edge when it comes to winning.

2pm: Costume contest and mini-parade
