Concert for Cooper
A free, one-night only virtual event celebrates the legacy and mission of The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. The evening features celebrity performances sharing words from some of the most famous figures to address an audience from the stage of Cooper's Great Hall.
Among those scheduled to appear are Margaret Cho. Alan Cumming, Tracey Ullman, Alfre Woodard, Ben Folds, Brian Stokes Mitchell and more.
The celebration raises funds and friends in support of this venerable NYC institution of higher education and civic engagement. Founder and philanthropist Peter Cooper established The Cooper Union in 1859 as a free center of learning and a destination for civic leaders and everyday citizens to gather, debate, stay informed and shape their community, city and country.
