Bicycle Sunday Celebration
NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital hosts a special Bicycle Sundays celebration along the Bronx River Parkway at the rest stop between Harney Road and Leewood Drive in Eastchester. People are encouraged to grab their bicycle or running shoes to get some exercise and join the fun.
The celebration includes fun activities, free ice cream, healthy snacks and water, as well as giveaways, and the opportunity to meet some of the physicians and physical therapists from NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital, ColumbiaDoctors, and the NewYork-Presbyterian Sports Performance Institute. WHUD 100.7 radio provides music.
The 6.5-mile stretch (13 mile loop) of the Bronx River Parkway from White Plains to Yonkers is closed to motor traffic and open for bicyclists, skaters, joggers and walkers to enjoy.
