This kid-friendly concert investigates the impact of experimental and innovative compositions throughout history. What impact did they have on audiences, the orchestra, and future generations of composers? And how do today’s composers continue to innovate and find their own, unique musical voices?

Arrive early for YPC Overtures on the Leon and Norma Hess Grand Promenade and Hearst Tier 1, where kids can try out orchestral instruments and families can engage in crafting and interactive workshops. Activities begin at 1pm.
