One Crown Heights Neighborhood Festival

Celebrate diversity and unity in the community through local eats, live music, dance, double dutch, and performances at the ninth annual One Crown Heights fest.  

What to expect:

  • Live music and dance performances by Brooklyn artists
  • Fun street games and art activities for all ages
  • Kosher and non-kosher food vendors
  • Free admission to Brooklyn Children’s Museum

The outdoor stage features all-women percussion ensemble Batala, classically-trained cellist Laura Melnicoff, griot-inspired Kakande, songwriter Aaron Einhorn, and the steelpans of Tropicalfete.

Inside BCM’s theater, kids are treated to an entertaining mix of music, puppetry, and storytelling presented by the SmallWonder Puppet Theater.

Museum activities include:

  • Design a roller coaster car in the ColorLab art studio, inspired by artist EJ Hill
  • Build and test earthquake-resistant skyscrapers in the Nature’s Engineers STEM makerspace
  • Free screenings of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (part of BCM's Superhero Summer movie marathon)

In addition to One Crown Heights Neighborhood Festival activities, Brooklyn Children’s Museum is providing free admission to the museum all day.
