Explore the birds of Governors Island with NYC Audubon! Guests can stop by the porch to learn about the city’s birds and habitats, or simply watch the bird feeder. Avian-inspired artists are at work all season long, influenced by the island and the city’s amazing birds.

Nature Stories on the Grass | Saturdays, 11-11:30am & 4-4:30pm
Stop by for a story or two on the lawn next to Nolan Park #17, featuring an eclectic array of tales starring all kinds of creatures and critters. This outdoor storytime is appropriate for all ages. No registration required. No limit. Free

Binoculars for Beginners | Saturdays, 1-2pm
Never used binoculars before? Sometimes it’s not as easy as it seems! Meet experts on the porch to borrow a free pair and get a crash course in binocular basics. No registration required. No limit. Free

Governors Island Bird Walks | Saturdays, 2-3:30pm
Meet the birds of Governors Island with an expert guide! Over 220 bird species have been spotted on the island, which provides excellent habitat all year round. Binoculars are available to borrow. Reserve your spot by signing up at Nolan Park Building 17. Limited to 10. Free
