MLK Day of Service
Commonpoint Queens offers a variety of service projects for volunteers in honor of Dr. King’s legacy. Opportunities are available at the Sam Field Center (Little Neck), Central Queens (Forest Hills), and Youth Opportunity Hub (Jamaica).
Central Queens (Forest Hills):
Help to prepare non-perishable spice packets to donate to a local food pantry
Daffodil bulb planting to beautify the community
Blood drive from 10am-4pm
Sam Field Center (Little Neck):
Help to prepare non-perishable oatmeal packages to donate to a local food pantry
Create a mural out of puzzle pieces to beautify the community
Craft handmade cards to mail to older adults throughout the year
