Freezin' Season Winter Break Workshops for Kids
- see all dates
King Manor invites kids inside for Freezin’ Season, an activity series to help keep kids busy during winter break that includes plastic recycling weaving, packing peanut igloos, and puzzle time.
Register online in advance for:
Freezin' Season: Knotting Workshop
Tuesday, February 20
Sari Nordman, the teaching artist, shows kids a simple knotting technique to make weaves out of recycled plastic. Participants have an option to donate their weaves for Nordman's project, to be exhibited in the future. Participants are also invited to bring clean, recycled plastic film to the workshop—the more colorful the better.
Freezin' Season: Mini Igloos
Wednesday, February 21
Using recycled white packing peanuts, kids learn how to make miniature igloos.
Freezin' Season: Black History Puzzles
Thursday, February 22
Assemble puzzles, themed around Black history, ranging from 65 to 1000 pieces.
