Family Art Project: Dia de los Muertos

Sat Oct 29, 2022
10:00am to 1:00pm ET
4 and up
Free with park admission

Celebrate this special Mexican cultural holiday by learning the traditional use of the four elements to adorn nicho boxes—small shadow boxes filled with meaning and purpose that honor a lost loved one. Decorate a box with objects and found natural materials.

Please note:

  • Approximately nine families will be able to participate at a time, based on the time each family arrives.
  • If capacity is full when you arrive, you'll receive a “come back” card so you will have first entry for the next session.
  • Each family will receive its own set of materials and cleaning will happen in between seating participants.
  • Unvaccinated visitors are encouraged to wear a mask inside.
