Family Art Project: Colorful Critters and Pride Weekend at Wave Hill

Explore rainbows in nature by learning about how animals get their colors. Then, make your critter and set the scene by crafting a diorama of your favorite colorful creature’s habitat.
At 11:30am families can enjoy a Pride month-inspired storytime program in the Gund Theater, all ages welcome.
On Sunday, at 9:30am, connect with other nature lovers as Brooklyn-based birder Hannah Kirshenbaum from NYC Queer Birders leads a special birding walk in celebration of Pride month! Seek out birds in the sky overhead and discover those that make Wave Hill’s trees and gardens home.
Severe weather cancels. A limited number of binoculars, monoculars and walking sticks are available to borrow at the Perkins Visitor Center. Ages 10 and older welcome with an adult.
