Explore several of the dazzling designs on view in An Ecology of Quilts: The Natural History of American Textiles, with a focus on block printing techniques inspired from Indian printing methods and adapted by British textile manufacturers. After guided gallery discussion, families collaborate to create their own wearable art– customized tote bags that incorporate block printing.
