Explore the science of early movie-making by creating your own zoetrope, an early 19th-century toy in which drawings of an object appeared to move when viewed through a spinning cylinder. Make your own animation and zoetrope and find out more about Morris-Jumel Mansion’s connection to early movie-making history.

The drop-in workshop is held outside of the Mansion on the stone terrace. Masks are required for all participants over the age of 2.
