Outdoor Music Together Class
- see all dates
Music Together is a music and movement class providing early childhood music education to babies, toddlers, preschoolers, big kids, and the grown-ups who love them. The classes give families with children from birth through age 6 the chance to get in touch with their inner musician and connect with other families.
Classes include songs, rhythmic rhymes and movement, and instrument play activities that are developmentally appropriate for the children and easy for parents and caregivers, regardless of their own musical ability.
Originally offered to the public in 1987, it pioneered the concept of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement. The Music Together approach develops every child's basic music competence by encouraging the actual experiencing of music rather than the learning of concepts or information about music.
Pre-registration at least 12 hours in advance is required. Sign up via the links below.
This class is offered in Madison Square Park, Tribeca, and Chelsea.
