This beginner’s course will help students get set up with the basics of oil painting, learn color mixing, and application techniques.

Oil painting is an exciting medium but a longer process to learn; the paint remains wet for longer, allowing students more time to manipulate their work. In the full course, students will learn how to create original finished oil painting(s) using personal subject matter with pictures or photos that inspire them. Students can work in realism or abstract, & learn professional techniques. This art experience is suitable for beginners who have painted before or intermediate students. A full class course (or at least 6 sessions) is recommended to see progress.

Class is offered as single day drop-ins or sign up for multi-week full course by selecting the start date from the registration calendar below.

Masks are mandatory to fully cover nose and mouth and must not be removed during your session.
