A Westside Experiment - Young Actors Laboratory at IRT Theater

A Westside Experiment—Young Actor's Laboratory at IRT Theater will take place virtually this summer with remote classes over Zoom and Vimeos.

At A Westside Experiment—Young Actor's Laboratory at IRT Theater, students work alongside members of the IRT theater company to build their acting technique and create quirky, original theatrical pieces. This year's unique summer experience will be taught in both sign language and English, including a fusion of sign language, spoken word, mime, storytelling, dance, and music. This is a great choice for students hearing, deaf, and hard-of-hearing who are interested in theater but eager to try something more offbeat than, say, Oklahoma. Two performances take place at the end of the camp session.

No prior acting experience is necessary. Artists of all disciplines (ages 10-17) are encouraged to apply. Bring an open mind and have it blown away!
