Rudolf Steiner School

Rudolf Steiner School is a K-12 school that offers a human-centered education. The Waldorf curriculum reflects the developmental stages of childhood and serves the capacities and talents of each growing child.

Steiner gives special emphasis to sensory experience and physical movement, to an alliance between artistic and intellectual activity, and to the ethical dimension of every subject.

Steiner graduates are inventive thinkers and resilient idealists who cultivate an appreciative regard for a world that they seek to improve.

Waldorf Early Childhood classes allow children to learn through experience: to understand nourishment, develop fine motor skills, observe lifecycles, and appreciate nature by playing outdoors in all seasons, through sunshine, rain, sleet, or snow. The foundations of language are brought through nursery rhymes and storytelling, and the concepts of math are encountered through rhythmic games and the science of baking.

The Elementary School program seeks to uncover the academic, artistic, physical, and social gifts of each child. Small class sizes and dedicated faculty provide a unique environment for students to develop into well-rounded individuals ready to pursue their passions and contribute their gifts to the world.

At Rudolf Steiner School, technology is gradually presented during the middle school years in a meaningful curriculum, taking into consideration the social and mental challenges students are facing with media exposure outside of the classroom. Both media and technology are fully integrated into our high school program to prepare students for college and beyond.
