Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC)

From the beginning, the master plan for rebuilding the World Trade Center site included a performing arts center. Such a destination would serve the whole city and help the neighborhood attract new residents, new visitors, and new energy. And the project benefitted from a number of determined champions. Opening to the public in September 2023, Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC) is a new home for emergent and established artists in theater, dance, music, opera, and multi-disciplinary performance from New York and the world. Their 129,000 square foot building has three intimate, flexible theater spaces which can be combined and configured to create a range of unique experiences for audiences and be fully responsive to artists’ creative visions.

PAC NYC strives to build meaningful relationships with community organizations and institutional stakeholders across all five boroughs and throughout the greater New York City metropolitan area. From programming that honors the lived experiences of diverse communities to accessible ticket pricing and invitations to organizations to perform or hold events on their Lobby Stage, the work of their Civic Alliances team deepens the impact of their projects and highlights organizations working towards compassion, innovation, kindness, inclusion, and creativity across New York City.

Located across from the World Trade Center Memorial, PAC NYC opens their lobby to the general public, providing a gathering place as well as a performance space with their lobby stage programming, which is free to attend. The lobby level also includes a restaurant, bar, and terrace open to the public.
