Piano Buds in a Pod

Kickstart your child’s classical piano studies. Piano Buds in a Pod offer baby and me classes in music and art appreciation for young listeners, group piano classes, and individual piano class for all beginners to advanced levels, including classical piano training for the Associate Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) in the heart of New York–Upper East Side. Group piano programs are thoughtfully designed to introduce students to fundamental concepts in classical music performance:

Baby Beethoven Mommy and Me Class (ages 1 to 4)

Baby Beethoven are music and movement music classes crafted to spark your child's growing imagination through music, movement, and dramatic play. Over the course of 12-weeks with varied themes, students explore the core concepts of performing classical music within pretend play while keeping a steady beat, playing rhythm instruments, dancing to orchestral music, looking at art, singing the solfège, and exploring the piano along with your cuddly buddy, Beethoven Bear. Class duration is 45 mins with a class capacity of 8 students.

Group Piano class (ages 4+, 5+, 8+, adult)

Piano Pioneers is a group piano program for beginner level. Students explore the keyboard basics, reading on the grand staff, increasing finger dexterity, playing solo repertoire, and performing in our piano studio. Whether you plan to play your favorite piece, or take an ABRSM piano exam, pieces are at the heart of your piano education. After all, playing an instrument is all about exploring, performing, and learning through repertoire. Class duration is 45 mins with a capacity of 4 students.

Individual +Performance (ages 3+, adult)

Individual (+Performance) class is a one-on-one piano instruction for all beginners to ABRSM Grades 1 to 8. You will 1 weekly class, Individual class only, or attend 2 weekly classes, Individual +Performance: a 1-on-1 class and a performance class that provides students with the opportunity to perform for and listen to their peers on a regular basis in the studio. Whether you plan to play your favorite piece, or take an ABRSM exam, pieces are at the heart of your piano education. After all, playing the piano is all about learning through repertoire. Class duration is 30 minutes or 45 minutes.
