Row New York

Get ready to dive into the coolest adventure of the summer at Row New York's Summer Learn to Row Camp! Whether you're a total newbie craving the thrill of a new sport or a seasoned rower looking to level up your skills, rowing camp is the place to be.

Picture this: Outdoor fun, new friends, and the perfect blend of fitness and laughs. No rowing experience? No problem! Our camp is designed with beginners in mind. If you've rowed before, join in for extra on-water practice and skill-building.

We'll kick things off with land-based rowing on ergometers, get a grip on equipment basics, and make a splash with on-water safety. Then, it's time to hit the water! Our coaches will lead campers in drills, training pieces, and a whole lot of technique-building fun. But that's not all – expect basic land training, stretching, and a whole bunch of good vibes. Athletic or swimming experience is not required, but enthusiasm for new challenges is encouraged! Join us on the water and let's make this summer one to remember!

About Row New York

Row New York was founded in 2002 based on the premise that the discipline of competitive rowing combined with rigorous academic support yields powerful returns. Rowing instills in athletes a strong work ethic, persistence, and grit. This is particularly evident in the classroom, where focus and determination produce higher grades and college acceptance rates.

Since 2002, its programs have impacted the lives of New Yorkers, helping to build strong, confident young people ready to tackle the demands of college. Through its Youth, Veteran's, and Adaptive programs, Row New York has worked with people of all ages, with and without physical and cognitive disabilities, to build strength and a sense of teamwork and tenacity. Its Summer Camp provides an opportunity for youth ages 12 to 18 to become acquainted with the sport, engage in physical activity, spend more time outdoors and on the water, and develop a lifelong passion for rowing

Row New York pulls together—in the boat, in the classroom, as a community—to help all rowers push ahead. Visit the website for more information and to learn about our Youth, Veteran's, Adaptive and Summer Camp programs.
