Cocoon
Founded by four local parents, Cocoon understands the need for kids in New York City to grow and learn together. Its 18,000 sq foot clubhouse in Tribeca and 14,000 sq foot clubhouse in the Upper West Side are gathering places for families from across New York to connect with one another.
Cocoon's mission is to inspire curious kids through playful activities that encourage independence and open-ended investigation through Reggio Emilia and Montessori methods. It offers classes for members with infants and big kids, party opportunities for all ages and both summer camp and day camps during the school year.
Camp Cocoon provides a fun-filled experience of experimenting with science, whipping up delicious recipes, creating imaginative works of art, and so much more. Summer Camp offers 10 flexible-by-week options. Each week includes Parkour with The Movement Creative, Soccer with SocRoc NYC and special happenings with magicians, live animals and more! Day Camps occur on common DOE closure dates throughout the school year. Kids are always worn out at the end of a Camp Cocoon day due to all the excitement and engaging activities!
All camp educators come with a background in education and the arts and all are First Aid/CPR certified.
