Cocoon

Cocoon’s 18,000-square-foot space in the heart of Tribeca acts as a gathering place for families from across New York to connect with one another. Founded by four local parents, Cocoon understands the need for kids in New York City to grow and learn together.

Cocoon's mission is to inspire curious kids through playful activities that encourage independence and open-ended investigation through Reggio Emilia and Montessori methods. It offers classes for members with infants and big kids, party opportunities for all ages and Camp Cocoon summer camp.

Campers at Camp Cocoon can expect to dig in the dirt while learning about nature, experiment with weird science, create art and hone their team-building skills through movement games in the engaging nature-inspired space. Camp Cocoon is created for children ages 3-8 and campers are split into groups based on age.

Camp Cocoon takes place in a temperature-controlled sprawling Tribeca space and 2,000 sq ft outdoor patio. Each Wednesday there is a special guest visiting for the hump day happening, from magicians to bubble performers and premium puppet shows. Every Friday campers enjoy a fun morning filled with special games and play on the shaded patio.

All camp educators come with a background in education and the arts and all are first Aid /CPR certified.
