Newport Skates, Jersey City’s only outdoor ice skating rink, is now officially open for the 2023-2024 season. Skaters can once again enjoy beautiful views of the New York City skyline while zooming around the rink.

This year Newport Skates also offers private lessons in partnership with Fireworks Skating Academy, as well as party packages.

  • Opening date: Sunday, November 12
  • Hours: Monday - Thursday 4-9pm, Friday 4-10pm, Saturday 11am-10pm, Sunday 11am-7pm
  • Admission: $13 (Newport residents receive half-price admission up to 2 adults 2 children); skate rental: $7
