Little ones are invited to The Frelinghuysen Arboretum every other Wednesday for an outdoor adventure. Pre-registration is required.

Schedule:

• January 13 (snow date January 20) - Winter Skeletons: The leaves are gone and all that’s left are the bare bones of the trees. Look at their shapes and sizes and discover what’s going on inside trees in a walk around the arboretum. Dress for the weather.
• February 17 (snow date February 24) - Treats on Trees: It’s cold outside but birds and animals still need to eat. The plants have lots of seeds and fruit and young explorers will seek them out. Dress for the weather.
• March 3 - Yum! Yum! Yum!: Weather permitting, the maple sap will be running. Learn how tree sap becomes delicious syrup, and have a taste, too! Dress for the weather.
• March 17 - Wake Up!: Spring is almost here, or at least the calendar says so. Look around to see what’s up and what’s already in bloom. Dress for the weather.
