Virtual Meeting about The Elisabeth Morrow’s School Re-Entry Plans
- see all dates
The Elisabeth Morrow School (EMS) welcomes families considering private school for their children to a Zoom meeting about EMS' re-entry program. The July 30 event is specific to Bergen County families. The August 4 event is open to all interested families.
The independent day school for children from age 2 through grade 8 is introducing a responsible 3 track approach for the 2020-21 school year: Track 1: On-Campus, Track 2: Remote, and Track 3: Flex.
Track 1: On-Campus: Students in all grades come to campus every day, five days a week, for a full schedule day, which may include before and after care and extracurricular activities. Classes will be taught outdoors and in classrooms to allow for social distancing.
Track 2: Remote: For students in grades 1-8, students may continue remote learning through the 2020 year on a case-by-case basis, in hopes of returning to campus permanently when the pandemic is over.
Track 3: Flex: For all students in all grades, students may continue remote learning on a temporary basis when individuals, classes, or the school need to quarantine. Students return to campus when quarantine is over.
Details about the school's re-entry plan and all safety protocols and procedures can be found here.
Parents considering a private education for their children are welcomed to join the open discussion led by Lauren Bedell, the school's CFO/COO, and Caitlin Read, Director of Enrollment Management. All parents interested can register here.
The school will also be offering Bergen County families a limited number of free tuitions for grades 1-4 in its remote track for the 2020-21 school year.
EMS’ remote learning combines daily synchronous (live) instruction and asynchronous (available anytime) instruction with a schedule intentionally designed to provide school and life balance, mindfulness, daily reading, and journal writing. To apply, students must be from public schools within Bergen County, academically qualified, and be in grades 1-4. Please contact Caitlin Read, Director of Enrollment Management by email or by calling 201-568-5566, x7211.
Thursday, 7/30, 7pm - Bergen County families only; register here
Tuesday, 8/4, 10am - open to all interested families; register here
