What is The Nature Nest?

The Nature Nest is a unique child care center offering a wholesome, child-centered, curiosity-based approach to learning and development. We believe children benefit most from a calm and simple environment where they are immersed in the wonders of life and learn about the world through music and movement, art, nature, cooking, play, handwork, helping and stories.

Our children learn through a variety of self-driven multi-disciplinary activities that incorporate science, math, language arts, music, movement, visual arts, social studies and practical life.

We have been serving families in the local community out of a home-based facility since 2014 and in 2019 we are opening the doors of a 4,600 square foot facility at 220 Vreeland Avenue in Boonton. Our new facility features multiple classrooms, a common multi-purpose area, an outdoor playground and learning space and a commercial kitchen.

With the opening of our new facility we are thrilled to be able to welcome many new families to the Nature Nest and offer additional services and programs. We will still focus much of our energy on full and part-time care for children ages 2 months to Kindergarten however, with our expansion, we will serve school age children and the rest of the family too.
