Congregation B'nai Israel in Emerson will host its annual Night of Giving where participants will light Chanukah candles, sing songs, enjoy latkes and apple sauce and participate in a craft-oriented service project.  

This years’ participants will draw pictures and write short notes of love and support for the New York City children who the non-profit organization Coalition for the Homeless supports.

Attendees are also invited to bring a new, unwrapped gift to donate to Coalition for the Homeless’ 2018 Holiday Toy Drive.  Attendees and  the public are also invited to purchase toys or gifts by December 14 from their  2018 Holiday Toy Drive Amazon Wishlist for one or more of the nearly 23,000 children who will spend this holiday season in homeless shelters.  To access their Amazon Wishlist, please visit   http://www.coalitionforthehomeless.org/event/2018-holiday-toy-drive/
