Finger Puppets and Storytelling at the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts
From puppet play to storybook, delve into narrative arts and create mice and other finger and stick puppets out of paper, fabric, and mixed media scraps.
Guided by Book Arts Artist Mickey Waring, each participant creates their unique critter character and props for them to interact with. In the process of making puppets, participants create stories to write about them in a unique matchbox artist book.
About the Artist: Book Arts Roundtable artist Mickey Waring is an art educator, artist, and poet. She teaches children and adults, works in several media, and has published her poems and an online blog.
This drop off program is for children ages 7- 10, and is limited to 8 participants. Registration closes March 5.
