New Jersey Children & Youth Walk for Immigrant Children
Join NJCIC for its first ever Youth Walk, a walk by young people for young people and the communities that support them. The track around the pond at Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex is 1.7 miles. Participants are invited to walk, stroll, or roll.
At NJCIC, it is believed that voices of children and young people must be at the forefront of advocacy for immigrant youth. Join the celebration of the voices of young allies in this work.
The New Jersey Consortium for Immigrant Children is committed to welcoming immigrant children and dismantling systems that oppress young people seeking safety. NJCIC believes that making NJ a great state for immigrant children is possible.
On site check-in starts at 8am.
Walk starts promptly at 9am.
T-shirts are available for all registrants, including children. Sizes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
