Harvest Homecoming at Historic New Bridge Landing

Come celebrate fall with the Bergen County Historical Society at their Harvest Homecoming. All three 18th century Jersey-Dutch sandstone houses including the state historic 1752 Steuben House are open for tours.
On display for viewing in the Steuben House are new exhibits from the society's extensive collection including Revolutionary War artifacts.
Stop by the Westervelt-Thomas barn to see broom making and corn shelling demonstrations.
Visit with the blacksmith on site to see what kind of wares he is making.
Do not forget to visit the society's authentic Jersey-Dutch out-kitchen where BCHS interpreters are firing up the outdoor bake oven to prepare 18th century autumn favorites including Sally Lunn bread, Celtic barmbrack, soul cakes, and baked apples.
Take a peek at the treasures in the gift shop while you enjoy donuts, hot cider and other fall refreshments which will be available for purchase inside the tavern.
Activities for families include scarecrow making, free pumpkin picking and decorating, and a taste-testing of a variety of apples.
Ticket reservations are encouraged: $12 adults, $7 students, BCHS members free.
Free parking available on site or take the train to "New Bridge Landing" station on the Pascack Valley Line.
Dogs are permitted on site on a leash but not in the houses.
For ticket reservations and additional information visit the society's website
