The Cotsen Children's Library is celebrating the final weekend of the Ulisis Carrión exhibit with hands-on activities and children’s gallery tours.

Carrión was one of the most influential of all modern artists engaged in the book, and a vital force in the mail art movement of the 1970s. Participants can make colorful and dynamic mail art, then send it through the highly interactive “Community Post Office,” where it receives customization and a very special stamp. Browse an amazing zine library compliments of the the Arts Council of Princeton, and create with artists from Princeton Comic Makers. And don’t forget to enter to win a very special mystery package delivered just to you.

Additionally, exhibit curator Sal Hamerman conducts two 20-minute children’s tours of the main exhibit: “Ulises Carrión: Bookworks and Beyond.” A note to parents and caregivers: the exhibit and its content is designed for adult audiences. The children’s tour is led and facilitated by a curator, and is intended for children ages 6-12.

General event activities are all ages. Children’s tours are recommended for ages 6-12, and occur at 11:00am and 1:00pm
