Getty Villa visitors can discover how ancient Romans used the papyrus plant to make paper—then write, roll, and seal their own messages on papyrus for future generations.

This is a free, drop-in program.

The activities are free, but advance timed tickets to Getty Villa are required. Reservations are available online or by calling 310.440.7300.

On-site parking is $15 per car or motorcycle.
