Summer Reading Kick-off (Pasadena)

Pasadena Central Library celebrates the first day of its Summer Reading Program with music, crafts, and more, with activities themed to the One City, One Story Summer Edition, The Ballad of Huck and Miguel.

Highlights include:

• Southern river music.
• A special visit from Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn and Becky Thatcher.
•  Crafts for all ages.
• “Mississippilessly,” Theatre Americana’s floating show featuring songs from the musical “Showboat.”
• Author Tim DeRoche and illustrator Daniel González, sharing their experiences writing and illustrating, The Ballad of Huck & Miguel, followed by Q & A. Books will be available for sale and signing.
