626 Golden Streets is back, with two new routes for 2019. The first event links the historic South Pasadena and San Gabriel Mission Districts via Downtown Alhambra.
Modeled after the thousands of other "open streets" or "ciclovia" events that have been organized around the world and across the United States, 626 Golden Streets temporarily opens stretches of roadway for people to walk, jog, skate, bike and more.
The activity hubs offer a range of activities, including a 5k fun run, activity booths, live music, food trucks, professional chalk artists, inflatables, cycling activities, and giveaways. Fun along the way includes photos with a Stormtrooper, free bicycle helmets from CHP (while supplies last), building with giant LEGOs and more.
