The Autry resumes in person screenings for its popular film series.

What Is a Western? is an ongoing film series that examines a variety of movies about the American West. 

The majority of the films are traditional Westerns set in the nineteenth century; however, nontraditional Westerns and films outside of the Western genre that provide unique insights into the region are also featured. Before every screening includes a guest lecturer will introduce the film and explains its significant in the genre.

August 28:  Broken Arrow (1950)

September 11: Gas Food Lodging (R)(1992)
November 6: The Rider  (R) (2017)
