The Discovery Cube OC's holiday attraction goes inside the kitchen, where guests can learn about the history and engineering behind gingerbread.

As the state's largest gingerbread competition and display event, the annual competition receives hundreds of creatively constructed gingerbread sculptures. The contest invites family and friends, young and old, to try their hand at 'baking spirits bright' this year.

Guests can also enjoy several holiday hands-on treats including a scrumptious cookie decorating station and snowflake programmable art.
Santa Claus visits on select days, and there is a gingerbread demonstration with a  pastry chef.

Santa Claus visit dates: November 23, 24, 29, 30. December 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, and 24 (11am - 2pm)

 Pastry Chef Gingerbread demonstration dates: November 23, 24, 30, December 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29, January 4 and 5. (11:30am and 1:30pm)

The Science of Gingerbread display is running at Discovery Cube's LA location as well.
