Raise It Up for Youth Literacy is a free, full-day event packed with storytelling, music, crafts, and hands-on activities designed to inspire a love of reading in the next generation.

The event features age-specific programming, fun learning stations, puppet-making, interactive art, and special guests such as the Los Angeles Fire Department, who are bringing a fire engine for kids to explore.

Reading Among Ruins is also donating over 200 books to the Altadena Public Library to help families impacted by recent wildfires in the Pacific Palisades and Altadena communities.

Other fun for kids includes storytelling, face painting, bookmark crafts, games, and music.

Event is held in the Ovation Hollywood Courtyard.
