Opening Day Celebration - OCMA's California Biennial 2025: Desperate, Scared, But Social
The Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA) throws a free, all-ages opening day block party and concert to celebrate its newest exhibition, California Biennial 2025: Desperate, Scared, But Social.
The event features a rare reunion of riot grrrl legends Emily’s Sassy Lime, rising punk stars The Linda Lindas, Seth Bogart, Brontez Purnell, and dublab.
The daylong event includes artmaking activities inlcuding screen-printing, zine making, and risograph printing, artist-inspired snacks at OCMA’s café Verdant; and food from the Lime Truck, Cali Delights, and Hobo Pizza—all reflecting the Biennial’s exploration of youth, cultural inheritance, and creative resilience across generations.
This event is free and open to the public. Activities run from 11am to 9pm; concert is at 7pm.
