Memorial Day Ceremonies -Forest Lawn
Forest Lawn welcomes community members to celebrate Memorial Day at six of its LA locations. The annual ceremony to honor fallen soldiers features patriotic music, wreath layings, presentations and retirings of the flag, keynote addresses, presidential proclamations, invocations, giveaways, arts & crafts, coffee, sweet treats, and more.
The Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills commemoration is the featured event this year. speaker Dr. Brenda Threatt; emcee Michael Ellington; an invocation and benediction by Monsignor Frank Hicks; a presidential proclamation by Police Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton; music by the Los Angeles Concert Band; and family-friendly activities
The events at Covina Hills, Cypress, Cathedral City, Hollywood Hills, and Long Beach start at 10am. The Glendale Field of Honor event begins at 11am with the Forest Lawn commemoration beginning at 1pm.
Free admission and parking.
