It's the Year of the Snake (and a whole lotta other creatures) at the LA Zoo.

Event highlights:

  • Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese dance performances by Asian Arts Talents Foundation at 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, and 2:30pm. 
  • Calligraphy, sky lantern, and Chinese paper cutting demonstrations from 10am to 4pm. 
  • a Wall of Well Wishes where guests can share their hopes and dreams for the New Year
  • Bitty Bao Story Time and Craft (11am and 1pm) 
  • Special Animal Feedings at 11am and 2pm
  • Education Stations: Slithering Snakes and Monkey Mania
  • Year of the Snake photo op 

Many animals of the 12-year Chinese zodiac can be found at the Zoo. Guests can  view and take a photo of the Zoo-diac Tour map in the Zoo’s Entry Plaza to find them all during their visit

Plus, the Los Angeles Public Library Outreach Van visits the Zoo on Sunday from 10am to 2pm, with books available to take home and return to your local library branch.
