Los Angeles International Ukulele Festival

- see all dates
Ukulele fans of all experience levels - from expert players to curious spectators - are invited to the 2023 Los Angeles International Ukulele Festival.
Ticket holders can enjoy all-star performances, participate in unlimited workshops as well as classes and presentations for beginners of all ages, shop the ukulele marketplace, and indulge in Hawaiian food.
New this year: the festival offers free classes for complete beginners in the George Nakano Theatre throughout the day (main festival access not included).
Ukulele Artists and Workshop Instructors include: Hawaii artists Abe Lagrimas Jr.; Corey Fujimoto; Kalei Gamiao; Craig Chee; Mika Kane; Sarah Maisel; from Wisconsin, Lil Rev and Katie DeNure; from Italy, Ukulollo; from Brazil, Jenifer Cabrera; from Chicago, Abby Lyons; from Canada, Peter Luongo; along with San Diego-based musician Anthony Stanley; Bay Area-based Ukulenny; Los Angeles teacher Melanie Kareem; and festival producer Mitch Chang.
The festival is an interactive, hands-on event. Attendees may bring their own ukulele, or can purchase one from vendors selling on site. The Ukulele Marketplace, located in the entry plaza of the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, is free and open to the public.
In addition and in conjunction with the Ukulele Festival, the Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation presents a live concert featuring NUE - a trio of ukulele musicians from Hawaii - on Sunday at 2pm in the James Armstrong Theatre. This concert is separately ticketed.
This celebration of the little 4-stringed musical wonder is held at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center.
